如果随着肉体而活，你们必定死；如果靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，你们就必活着。

爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

顺着自己的肉体撒种的，必定从肉体收取败坏；顺着圣灵撒种的，必定从圣灵收取永生。

亲爱的，我劝你们作客旅和寄居的人，要禁戒肉体的私欲，这私欲是与灵魂争战的。

所以要治死你们在地上的肢体，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。因着这些事，神的忿怒必要临到悖逆的人（有些抄本无“悖逆的人”）。你们从前在其中生活的时候，也曾经这样行过。但现在你们要除去忿怒、恼怒、恶毒、毁谤，以及粗言秽语这一切事。

我要克制自己的身体，叫身体服我，免得我传了给别人，自己反而落选了。

属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体和邪情私欲都钉在十字架上了。

你们既因顺从真理，洁净了自己的心灵，以致能真诚地爱弟兄，就应当从清洁的心里彼此切实相爱。

这恩典训练我们除去不敬虔的心，和属世的私欲，在今生过着自律、公正、敬虔的生活，

使律法所要求的义，可以在我们这些不随从肉体而随从圣灵去行的人身上实现出来。随从肉体的人，以肉体的事为念；随从圣灵的人，以圣灵的事为念。以肉体为念就是死，以圣灵为念就是生命、平安；

就要除去你们那照着从前生活方式而活的旧人。这旧人是随着迷惑人的私欲渐渐败坏的。

我们从前属肉体的时候，罪恶的情欲藉着律法在我们的肢体里发动，就结出死亡的果子。

每一个人受试探，都是被自己的私欲所勾引诱惑的。私欲怀了胎，就生出罪；罪长成了，就产生死亡。

肉体所行的都是显而易见的，就如淫乱、污秽、邪荡、拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、争竞、忌恨、忿怒、自私、分党、结派、嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴，和类似的事。我从前早就告诉过你们，现在又事先告诉你们：行这些事的人，必定不能承受神的国。

所以现在，那些在耶稣基督里的人就不被定罪了；因为生命之灵的律在基督耶稣里使我自由，脱离了罪和死的律。

因为罪的工价就是死，但神的恩赏，在我们的主基督耶稣里，却是永生。

不要醉酒，醉酒能使人放荡乱性，却要让圣灵充满。

不可让神的圣灵忧伤，因为你们受了他的印记，等候得赎的日子。

那么，你们在现今以为羞耻的事上，当时得了什么呢？那些事的结局就是死。

至于淫乱和任何污秽或贪心的事，在你们中间连提都不可提，才合圣徒的体统。更不要讲淫秽和愚妄的话，或下流的笑话，这些都与你们不相称；却要说感谢的话。因为你们确实知道，无论是淫乱的、污秽的或贪心的（贪心就是拜偶像），都得不到在基督和神的国里的基业。
