爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;for which things’ sake cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience:wherein ye also once walked, when ye lived in these things;but now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth:

but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:

instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;

that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

but each man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed.Then the lust, when it hath conceived, beareth sin: and the sin, when it is fullgrown, bringeth forth death.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.

What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
