For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

I find then the law that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.For I delight in God’s law after the inward man,but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.

For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law,“ The one who does them will live by them.”

because the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.

Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God.

You do many things like this.”

He said,“ I have observed all these things from my youth up.”

“ You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones,‘ You shall not murder;’ and‘ Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother,‘ Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.“ If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.

But he answered his father,‘ Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.

For God commanded,‘ Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘ He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’But you say,‘ Whoever may tell his father or his mother,“ Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”he shall not honor his father or mother.’ You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
