夫在而從他人、是謂淫婦、夫死則釋於此法、雖從他人、不為淫婦、

其夫存而改適者、是謂不貞。若夫既死、則無復法律之拘束、雖再嫁亦不為失貞。

So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.

But suppose that married woman sleeps with another man while her husband is still alive. Then she is called a woman who commits adultery. But suppose her husband dies. Then she is free from that law. She is not guilty of adultery if she marries another man.

Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.

So then, if she is married to another man while her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law. Then, if she is married to another man, she is not an adulteress.

So then, if while her husband is alive she gives herself to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress if she gives herself to another man.

So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man.

So then if, while the husband liveth, she be joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if the husband die, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she be joined to another man.

So then, if she gives herself to another man while her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law. Then, if she gives herself to another man, she is not an adulteress.

“不可奸淫。

可是我告诉你们，凡休妻的，如果不是因她不贞，就是促使她犯奸淫；无论谁娶了被休的妇人，也就是犯奸淫了。

但从起初创造的时候，神是‘造男造女’。‘因此人要离开父母，与妻子连合，二人成为一体了。’这样，他们不再是两个人，而是一体的了。所以神所配合的，人不可分开。”回到屋子里，门徒再提起这件事来问他。他对他们说：“谁休妻另娶，谁就是犯奸淫，得罪了妻子。如果妻子弃夫另嫁，也是犯了奸淫。”

“如果发现有人和有夫之妇同寝，就要把奸夫淫妇二人都处死；这样，你就把那恶从以色列中除掉了。“如果有个少女，本来是处女，已经许配了人，有人在城里遇见了她，和她同寝，你们就要把他们二人带到当地的城门口，用石头打死他们。那少女该死，是因为她虽在城里，却没有呼叫；那男人该死，是因为他玷污了邻舍的妻子；这样，你就把那恶从你们中间除掉。

经学家和法利赛人带了一个行淫时被抓到的妇人来，叫她站在中间，就对耶稣说：“先生，这妇人是正在犯奸淫的时候被抓到的。摩西在律法上吩咐我们把这样的妇人用石头打死，你怎样说呢？”

大卫听见拿八死了，就说：“耶和华是应当称颂的，因为他为我伸了拿八羞辱我的冤，又阻止了仆人行恶，也使拿八的恶归到他自己的头上。”于是大卫派人去对亚比该说要娶她作他的妻子。大卫的仆人到了迦密去见亚比该，对她说：“大卫差派我们到你这里来，要娶你作他的妻子。”亚比该就起来，面伏于地叩拜，说：“婢女愿意作女仆，洗我主人的脚！”亚比该急忙起来，骑上驴，带着五个跟随她的女仆，跟从大卫的使者去了，就作了大卫的妻子。

路得说：“主人啊，但愿我在你眼前蒙恩，虽然我连你的婢女都不是，你还是安慰我，对我这么好。”

有人和她同寝，事情瞒过了丈夫，没有被查出，没有见证人指证她，犯罪时也没有被人捉住；如果她的丈夫生了疑心，疑忌妻子，而妻子实在是被玷污了；又或者丈夫生了疑心，疑忌妻子，而妻子并没有被玷污，这人就要把妻子带到祭司那里，又要为她带来供物，就是大麦面一公斤，不可浇上油，也不可加上乳香，因为这是疑忌的素祭，是思念的素祭，使人思念罪孽。“祭司要使那妇人走进来，站在耶和华面前。祭司要把圣水盛在瓦器里，又从帐幕的地面取些尘土，撒在水中。祭司要使那妇人站在耶和华面前，松开她的头发，把思念的素祭，就是疑忌的素祭，放在她的手中，祭司的手里要拿着使人招致咒诅的苦水。祭司要叫那妇人起誓，对她说：‘如果没有人与你同寝，作妻子时没有背弃丈夫被人玷污，你就免受这使人招致咒诅的苦水。但是，如果你作妻子时背弃了丈夫，被人玷污了；如果你在你的丈夫以外，曾与别的男人同寝’，这样，祭司就要叫那妇人发咒起誓，继续对她说：‘耶和华要使你的大腿消瘦，肚腹肿胀；愿耶和华叫你在你的族人中成为咒诅和起誓的话柄；愿这招致咒诅的水进入你的腹中，使你的肚腹肿胀，大腿消瘦。’那妇人要说：‘阿们、阿们。’“祭司要把这些咒诅的话写在卷上，又把所写的字洗在苦水里，又要叫那妇人喝这招致咒诅的苦水，这招致咒诅的水要进入她里面，就引起痛苦。祭司要从这妇人的手中取过那疑忌的素祭，把素祭在耶和华面前摇一摇，然后带到祭坛那里。祭司要从素祭中取出一把来，作为记念，放在祭坛上焚烧，然后才叫妇人喝这水。祭司叫她喝了这水以后，如果她被人玷污，对自己的丈夫不忠，这招致咒诅的水就必进入她里面，引起痛苦；她的肚腹必肿胀，大腿必消瘦；那妇人就要在她的族人中成为咒诅。但是，如果这妇人没有被玷污，而是贞洁的，就不致受害，并且要怀孕生子。“这是关于疑忌的律例：妻子在自己丈夫的权下，如果背离丈夫，被人玷污了；或是人生了疑忌的心，疑忌自己的妻子，他就要叫那妇人站在耶和华的面前，祭司要对她执行这法例。这样，男人可以免罪，妇人就要担当自己的罪孽。”

至于年轻的寡妇，不要给她们登记，因为她们一旦情欲冲动而背弃基督的时候，就想结婚。她们被定罪，是因为丢弃了起初的信誓。同时，她们懒惰惯了，挨家闲游；不但懒惰，而且好说闲话，好管闲事，说不该说的话。因此，我愿年轻的寡妇结婚，生儿育女，管理家务，不给敌人有辱骂的机会；

“如果有人与别人的妻子通奸，就是与邻舍的妻子通奸，奸夫和淫妇都要处死。
