惟覺肢體中別有一法、與我心之法戰、而擄我以從於肢體中罪之法、

然吾又見一法、寓吾肢體之中、與吾心之法、恆相對敵、而囚吾於肢體之罪孽法中。

but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

But I see another law working in me. It fights against the law of my mind. It makes me a prisoner of the law of sin. That law controls me.

but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin, the law which is in my body’s parts.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

因為肉體的欲望與聖靈對立，聖靈也與肉體對立。這兩者彼此反對，使你們不能做自己所願意做的。

你們中間的衝突是從哪裡來的？爭執是從哪裡來的？難道不是從你們身體各部分中交戰的私慾而來的嗎？

因為聖靈的生命法則，在基督耶穌裡把你從罪和死的法則中釋放了出來。

各位蒙愛的人哪，我勸你們：做為過客和寄居的，要遠避那與你們靈魂爭戰的肉體欲望。

藉著我們的主耶穌基督，感謝歸於神！由此可見，我自己一方面在理性上服從神的法則，另一方面在肉體中卻服從罪的法則。

因著你們肉體的軟弱，我就按照人的說法來講，那就是，你們從前怎樣把身體的各部分獻給汙穢和罪惡做奴僕，以致罪惡；現在也要照樣把你們身體的各部分獻給義做奴僕，以致分別為聖。

求你把我的靈魂從被囚之地領出來，好讓我稱頌你的名；義人將環繞我，因為你恩待我。

因此我發現一個法則：當我願意行善的時候，惡就在我裡面。

也不要把你們身體的任何部分獻給罪，做不義的器具；相反，要像從死人中復活的人，把自己獻給神，並把身體的各部分做義的器具獻給神。

世上實在沒有一個行善而不犯罪的義人。

原來，當我們還在肉體中的時候，罪的欲望藉著律法在我們身體的各部分做工，以致為死亡結了果子。

你們與罪爭戰，還沒有抵抗到流血的地步。

我們知道律法是屬靈的；而我是屬肉體的，已經賣給罪了。

溫柔地管教那些反對的人；或許神會賜給這些人悔改的心，到真理的知識當中。這樣，那些被魔鬼擄去、隨從魔鬼意思的人，就能醒悟過來，脫離魔鬼的網羅。

至於你，哦，屬神的人哪，你要逃避這些事！你要追求公義、敬神、信仰、愛心、忍耐、溫柔，要為信仰打那美好的仗，要抓住永恆的生命。你正是為此蒙召的，並且在許多見證人面前做了美好的告白。

實際上，我們每一個人在很多事上都會跌倒。如果有人在言語上不跌倒，這個人就是一個成熟的人，也能夠克制全身。
