然而我发现在我身体中另有一个法则，与我理性的法则交战，把我掳到我身体中罪的法则里。

然覺肢體中別有一律、與我心志之律戰、擄我服於肢體中之罪律、

惟四體不覺有一法、與吾心之法戰、執我從四體之惡法、

惟覺肢體中別有一法、與我心之法戰、而擄我以從於肢體中罪之法、

然吾又見一法、寓吾肢體之中、與吾心之法、恆相對敵、而囚吾於肢體之罪孽法中。

but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

But I see another law working in me. It fights against the law of my mind. It makes me a prisoner of the law of sin. That law controls me.

but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin, the law which is in my body’s parts.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

因为肉体的欲望与圣灵对立，圣灵也与肉体对立。这两者彼此反对，使你们不能做自己所愿意做的。

你们中间的冲突是从哪里来的？争执是从哪里来的？难道不是从你们身体各部分中交战的私欲而来的吗？

因为圣灵的生命法则，在基督耶稣里把你从罪和死的法则中释放了出来。

各位蒙爱的人哪，我劝你们：做为过客和寄居的，要远避那与你们灵魂争战的肉体欲望。

藉着我们的主耶稣基督，感谢归于神！由此可见，我自己一方面在理性上服从神的法则，另一方面在肉体中却服从罪的法则。

因着你们肉体的软弱，我就按照人的说法来讲，那就是，你们从前怎样把身体的各部分献给污秽和罪恶做奴仆，以致罪恶；现在也要照样把你们身体的各部分献给义做奴仆，以致分别为圣。

求你把我的灵魂从被囚之地领出来，好让我称颂你的名；义人将环绕我，因为你恩待我。

因此我发现一个法则：当我愿意行善的时候，恶就在我里面。

也不要把你们身体的任何部分献给罪，做不义的器具；相反，要像从死人中复活的人，把自己献给神，并把身体的各部分做义的器具献给神。

世上实在没有一个行善而不犯罪的义人。

原来，当我们还在肉体中的时候，罪的欲望藉着律法在我们身体的各部分做工，以致为死亡结了果子。

你们与罪争战，还没有抵抗到流血的地步。

我们知道律法是属灵的；而我是属肉体的，已经卖给罪了。

温柔地管教那些反对的人；或许神会赐给这些人悔改的心，到真理的知识当中。这样，那些被魔鬼掳去、随从魔鬼意思的人，就能醒悟过来，脱离魔鬼的网罗。

至于你，哦，属神的人哪，你要逃避这些事！你要追求公义、敬神、信仰、爱心、忍耐、温柔，要为信仰打那美好的仗，要抓住永恒的生命。你正是为此蒙召的，并且在许多见证人面前做了美好的告白。

实际上，我们每一个人在很多事上都会跌倒。如果有人在言语上不跌倒，这个人就是一个成熟的人，也能够克制全身。
