So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me.

於是吾於自身之內、另見一法。吾欲為善、而有惡潛伏其中、為之牽引。

So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

Here is the law I find working in me. When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand.

I have discovered this principle of life— that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong.

So I discover this law: When I want to do what is good, evil is present with me.

I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.

I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.

I find then the law, that, to me who would do good, evil is present.

So I discover this principle: When I want to do what is good, evil is with me.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

I find then the law that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.

But I see a different law in my members waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members.

For sin will have no mastery over you, because you are not under law but under grace.

Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.

Next I saw Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.The LORD said to Satan,“ May the LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Isn’t this man like a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood there before the angel.The angel spoke up to those standing all around,“ Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua,“ I have freely forgiven your iniquity and will dress you in fine clothing.”

Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires,

Direct my steps by your word! Do not let any sin dominate me!

For the law of the life- giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

In his hand was a hot coal he had taken from the altar with tongs.He touched my mouth with it and said,“ Look, this coal has touched your lips. Your evil is removed; your sin is forgiven.”

Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness,

Our record of sins overwhelms me, but you forgive our acts of rebellion.
