For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

又是永活的。我曾死過，看哪，我是活着的，直到永永遠遠；並且我拿着死亡和陰間的鑰匙。

罪必不能作你們的主，因你們不在律法之下，而是在恩典之下。

因此，我的心歡喜，我的靈快樂；我的肉身也要安然居住。因為你必不將我的靈魂撇在陰間，也不讓你的聖者見地府。你必將生命的道路指示我。在你面前有滿足的喜樂，在你右手中有永遠的福樂。

然而，從亞當到摩西，死就掌了權，連那些不與亞當犯一樣罪過的，也在死的權下。亞當是那以後要來之人的預像。

但基督獻了一次永遠有效的贖罪祭，就坐在神的右邊，從此等候他的仇敵成為他的腳凳。

所以，凡靠着他進到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底，因為他長遠活着為他們祈求。

神卻將死的痛苦解除，使他復活了，因為他原不能被死拘禁。大衛指着他說：『我看見主常在我眼前，他在我右邊，使我不至於動搖。所以我心裏歡喜，我的舌頭快樂，而且我的肉身要安居在指望中。因你必不將我的靈魂撇在陰間，也不讓你的聖者見朽壞。你已將生命的道路指示我，必使我在你面前充滿快樂。』

既然兒女同有血肉之軀，他也照樣親自成了血肉之軀，為能藉着死敗壞那掌管死權的，就是魔鬼，並要釋放那些一生因怕死而作奴隸的人。

他成為祭司，並不是照屬肉身的條例，而是照無窮生命的大能。
