應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,

Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,

For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life.

What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ,having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Yahweh our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us, but we will only acknowledge your name.

Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

Naaman said,“ If not, then, please let two mules’ burden of earth be given to your servant; for your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Yahweh.
