蓋自知吾故態、與之釘死、滅厥罪狀、使我不復為罪所役、

應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

我與基督同釘十字架、我不生、基督在我心則生、是我之生、因信上帝子而生、彼曾愛我、為我舍己者也、

我則不然、我所誇者、惟吾主耶穌基督十字架之道、吾為斯道、視己如釘十字架、視世亦然、

宗基督者、滅吾身之情欲、譬釘之十字架、

以前此私欲溺志、則革其故態、

耶穌曰、我誠告爾、犯罪者、罪之奴、夫奴無常家、而子有常、若子釋爾、則誠釋矣、

故當滅去人欲、即淫行、污穢、比頑童、邪僻、貪婪、貪婪與拜偶像一也、

彼此毋偽、革其故態、煥然一新、象創造者、日新而智廣、

從欲者死、惟藉聖神以滅吾身情欲、則生、

令爾遠罪為上帝僕、作聖獲益、終得永生

我誠苦矣、誰能拯我出致死之體乎、惟賴吾主耶穌基督為然、故謝上帝、由是觀之、服上帝法者內心、服惡法者外心也、

受其割禮、以遠身之罪、此禮不假手於人、乃受之基督、爾亦受洗、與基督同穴、上帝甦基督、爾藉其力、亦與之共甦、

蓋律法以我情欲、故無力脫我於惡、惟上帝遣己子、身等罪人、以贖人罪、滅吾身之罪、使我不從欲而從神、可盡律法之義、

前此君我者、不一而足、今而知耶和華為我上帝、惟頌爾名。

爾勿以將死之身狥人慾、使罪乘權、

乃慢曰、請以土壤、載於二騾、畀之於我、自今以後、我不獻燔祭禮物、事他上帝、惟奉耶和華而已。
