因為知道我們的舊人和他同釘十字架，使罪身滅絕，叫我們不再作罪的奴僕；

乃知舊日之我、與之同釘、俾罪之體泯、不復為罪所役、

蓋自知吾故態、與之釘死、滅厥罪狀、使我不復為罪所役、

蓋知我儕舊日之我、舊日之我原文作本體之舊人與之同釘十字架、以滅罪身、使我儕不復為罪所役、

應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

我已經與基督同釘十字架，現在活着的不再是我，乃是基督在我裏面活着；並且我如今在肉身活着，是因信神的兒子而活；他是愛我，為我捨己。

但我斷不以別的誇口，只誇我們主耶穌基督的十字架；因這十字架，就我而論，世界已經釘在十字架上；就世界而論，我已經釘在十字架上。

凡屬基督耶穌的人，是已經把肉體連肉體的邪情私慾同釘在十字架上了。

就要脫去你們從前行為上的舊人，這舊人是因私慾的迷惑漸漸變壞的；

耶穌回答說：「我實實在在地告訴你們，所有犯罪的就是罪的奴僕。奴僕不能永遠住在家裏；兒子是永遠住在家裏。所以天父的兒子若叫你們自由，你們就真自由了。

所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）。

不要彼此說謊；因你們已經脫去舊人和舊人的行為，穿上了新人。這新人在知識上漸漸更新，正如造他主的形像。

你們若順從肉體活着，必要死；若靠着聖靈治死身體的惡行，必要活着。

但現今，你們既從罪裏得了釋放，作了神的奴僕，就有成聖的果子，那結局就是永生。

我真是苦啊！誰能救我脫離這取死的身體呢？感謝神，靠着我們的主耶穌基督就能脫離了。這樣看來，我以內心順服神的律，我肉體卻順服罪的律了。

你們在他裏面也受了不是人手所行的割禮，乃是基督使你們脫去肉體情慾的割禮。你們既受洗與他一同埋葬，也就在此與他一同復活，都因信那叫他從死裏復活神的功用。

律法既因肉體軟弱，有所不能行的，神就差遣自己的兒子，成為罪身的形狀，作了贖罪祭，在肉體中定了罪案，使律法的義成就在我們這不隨從肉體、只隨從聖靈的人身上。

耶和華－我們的神啊，在你以外曾有別的主管轄我們，但我們專要倚靠你，提你的名。

所以，不要容罪在你們必死的身上作王，使你們順從身子的私慾。

乃縵說：「你若不肯受，請將兩騾子馱的土賜給僕人。從今以後，僕人必不再將燔祭或平安祭獻與別神，只獻給耶和華。
