Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

断乎不可！我们在罪上死了的人岂可仍在罪中活着呢？

斷乎不可！我們在罪上死了的人豈可仍在罪中活着呢？

曰、非也、我儕於罪既死、詎尚於罪中生乎、

曰、非也我儕絕惡若死、詎復為惡若生、

非也、我儕既絕罪若死、豈可仍於罪中而生乎、

夫吾人於罪既已心死、其尚能依罪而生乎？

By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

Not at all! As far as sin is concerned, we are dead. So how can we keep on sinning?

By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

and He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you also were put to death in regard to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live for God.

But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,

Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human lusts, but for the will of God.For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries.

But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as,

For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;for the one who has died is freed from sin.Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.So you too, consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?Great in every respect. First, that they were entrusted with the actual words of God.What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person be found a liar, as it is written:“ So that You are justified in Your words, And prevail when You are judged.”

And not only this, but we also celebrate in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

There is no one greater in this house than I, and he has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do this great evil, and sin against God?”
