Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

断乎不可！我们在罪上死了的人岂可仍在罪中活着呢？

绝对不可！我们向罪死了的人，岂可仍在罪中活着呢？

绝不可以！我们既然向罪死了，岂可继续活在罪中？

斷乎不可！我們在罪上死了的人豈可仍在罪中活着呢？

曰、非也、我儕於罪既死、詎尚於罪中生乎、

曰、非也我儕絕惡若死、詎復為惡若生、

非也、我儕既絕罪若死、豈可仍於罪中而生乎、

夫吾人於罪既已心死、其尚能依罪而生乎？

By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

Not at all! As far as sin is concerned, we are dead. So how can we keep on sinning?

By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; you have been healed by His wounds.

Therefore, my brothers, you also were put to death in relation to the law through the crucified body of the Messiah, so that you may belong to another— to Him who was raised from the dead— that we may bear fruit for God.

For through the law I have died to the law, so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ

But now we have been released from the law, since we have died to what held us, so that we may serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old letter of the law.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, equip yourselves also with the same resolve— because the one who suffered in the flesh has finished with sin—in order to live the remaining time in the flesh, no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the pagans choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world.

If you died with the Messiah to the elemental forces of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations:

For if we have been joined with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of His resurrection.For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin’s dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin,since a person who has died is freed from sin’s claims.Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him,because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer rules over Him.For in light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God.So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

For Christ’s love compels us, since we have reached this conclusion: If One died for all, then all died.And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.

So what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?Considerable in every way. First, they were entrusted with the spoken words of God.What then? If some did not believe, will their unbelief cancel God’s faithfulness?Absolutely not! God must be true, even if everyone is a liar, as it is written: That You may be justified in Your words and triumph when You judge.

I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way.

And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have now received this reconciliation through Him.

No one in this house is greater than I am. He has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. So how could I do such a great evil and sin against God?”
