我今因爾肉體懦弱、試以人言言之、爾曾以肢體獻於不潔及不義為僕以行惡、今當以肢體獻於義為僕以成聖、

今爾等靈修未深、請以庸言明之。正如爾等曩日曾以爾之四肢百體、為邪淫不法之僕、以滋罪惡；今望爾等以四肢百體、為正義之僕、以登聖域也。

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever- increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.

Because you are human, you find this hard to understand. So I am using an everyday example to help you understand. You used to give yourselves to be slaves to unclean living. You were becoming more and more evil. Now give yourselves to be slaves to right living. Then you will become holy.

I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy.

I am using a human analogy because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you offered the parts of yourselves as slaves to impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification.

我姑且照着人的看法來說，我們的不義若顯出上帝的義來，我們要怎麼說呢？上帝降怒是他不義嗎？

也不要把你們的肢體獻給罪作不義的工具，倒要像從死人中活着的人，把自己獻給上帝，並把你們的肢體獻給上帝作義的工具。

弟兄們，我照着人的觀點說，人的遺囑一經確定，沒有人能廢棄或加增。

從前你們中間也有人是這樣；但現在你們奉主耶穌基督的名，並藉着我們上帝的靈，已經洗淨，已經成聖，已經稱義了。

所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體；就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪婪－貪婪就是拜偶像。因這些事，上帝的憤怒必臨到那些悖逆的人。當你們在這些事中活着的時候，你們的行為也曾是這樣的。

使你們從今以後不再隨從人的情慾，只順從上帝的旨意，在世度餘下的光陰。因為你們從前隨從外邦人的心意，生活在淫蕩、情慾、醉酒、荒宴、狂飲和可憎的偶像崇拜中，時候已經夠了。在這些事上，他們見你們不與他們同奔放蕩無度的路就以為怪，毀謗你們。

那時，你們在過犯罪惡中生活，隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的領袖，就是現今在悖逆的人心中運行的邪靈。我們從前也都生活在他們當中，放縱肉體的私慾，隨着肉體和心中的意念去做，和別人一樣，生來就是該受懲罰的人。

難道你們不知道，你們獻自己作奴僕，順從誰就作誰的奴僕嗎？或作罪的奴隸，以至於死；或作順服的奴僕，以至於成義。感謝上帝！因為你們從前雖然作罪的奴隸，現在卻從心裏順服了所傳給你們教導的典範。

同樣，我們的軟弱有聖靈幫助。我們本不知道當怎樣禱告，但是聖靈親自用無可言喻的嘆息替我們祈求。

要謹慎，免得有人失去了上帝的恩典；免得有毒根生出來擾亂你們，因而使許多人沾染污穢，

要遠避世俗的空談，因為這等空談會使人進到更不敬虔的地步。他們的話如同毒瘡越爛越大；其中有許米乃和腓理徒，

你們這樣自誇是不好的。你們不知道一點麵酵能使全團發起來嗎？

因為我們的大祭司並非不能體恤我們的軟弱；他也在各方面受過試探，與我們一樣，只是他沒有犯罪。

我們堅強的人應該分擔不堅強的人的軟弱，不求自己的喜悅。

我說這些話豈是照一般人的看法？律法不也是這樣說嗎？

從人的觀點看來，我當日在以弗所同野獸搏鬥，對我有甚麼益處呢？如果死人沒有復活，「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。」不要被欺騙了；「濫交朋友敗壞品德。」
