爾固昏庸、我試因人所言言之、爾曾獻四體為惡之僕、致作狂、今當獻四體為義之僕、以作聖、

我今因爾肉體懦弱、試以人言言之、爾曾以肢體獻於不潔及不義為僕以行惡、今當以肢體獻於義為僕以成聖、

今爾等靈修未深、請以庸言明之。正如爾等曩日曾以爾之四肢百體、為邪淫不法之僕、以滋罪惡；今望爾等以四肢百體、為正義之僕、以登聖域也。

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever- increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.

Because you are human, you find this hard to understand. So I am using an everyday example to help you understand. You used to give yourselves to be slaves to unclean living. You were becoming more and more evil. Now give yourselves to be slaves to right living. Then you will become holy.

I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy.

I am using a human analogy because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you offered the parts of yourselves as slaves to impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification.

我且照着人的常話說，我們的不義若顯出神的義來，我們可以怎麼說呢？神降怒，是他不義嗎？

也不要將你們的肢體獻給罪作不義的器具；倒要像從死裏復活的人，將自己獻給神，並將肢體作義的器具獻給神。

弟兄們，我且照着人的常話說：雖然是人的文約，若已經立定了，就沒有能廢棄或加增的。

你們中間也有人從前是這樣；但如今你們奉主耶穌基督的名，並藉着我們神的靈，已經洗淨，成聖，稱義了。

所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）。因這些事，神的忿怒必臨到那悖逆之子。當你們在這些事中活着的時候，也曾這樣行過。

你們存這樣的心，從今以後就可以不從人的情慾，只從神的旨意在世度餘下的光陰。因為往日隨從外邦人的心意行邪淫、惡慾、醉酒、荒宴、羣飲，並可惡拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。他們在這些事上，見你們不與他們同奔那放蕩無度的路，就以為怪，毀謗你們。

那時，你們在其中行事為人，隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈。我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私慾，隨着肉體和心中所喜好的去行，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣。

豈不曉得你們獻上自己作奴僕，順從誰，就作誰的奴僕嗎？或作罪的奴僕，以至於死；或作順命的奴僕，以致成義。感謝神！因為你們從前雖然作罪的奴僕，現今卻從心裏順服了所傳給你們道理的模範。

況且，我們的軟弱有聖靈幫助；我們本不曉得當怎樣禱告，只是聖靈親自用說不出來的歎息替我們禱告。

又要謹慎，恐怕有人失了神的恩；恐怕有毒根生出來擾亂你們，因此叫眾人沾染污穢；

但要遠避世俗的虛談，因為這等人必進到更不敬虔的地步。他們的話如同毒瘡，越爛越大；其中有許米乃和腓理徒，

你們這自誇是不好的。豈不知一點麵酵能使全團發起來嗎？

因我們的大祭司並非不能體恤我們的軟弱。他也曾凡事受過試探，與我們一樣，只是他沒有犯罪。

我們堅固的人應該擔代不堅固人的軟弱，不求自己的喜悅。

我說這話，豈是照人的意見；律法不也是這樣說嗎？

我若當日像尋常人，在以弗所同野獸戰鬥，那於我有甚麼益處呢？若死人不復活，我們就吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。你們不要自欺；濫交是敗壞善行。
