然則何也、不屬律法下、而屬恩寵下、則可犯罪乎、非也、

雖然、吾人既不隸於法而隸於恩矣、將恃恩而重蹈罪孽乎？無是理也！

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!

What should we say then? Should we sin because we are not ruled by the law but by God’s grace? Not at all!

Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?

For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

But if, while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a minister of sin? God forbid.For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a transgressor.

And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, not being myself under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;to them that are without law, as without law, not being without law to God, but under law to Christ, that I might gain them that are without law.

For there are certain men crept in privily, even they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we before laid to the charge both of Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin;

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
