Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you also were put to death in regard to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were brought to light by the Law, were at work in the parts of our body to bear fruit for death.But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said,“ You shall not covet.”But sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead.I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin came to life, and I died;and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me;for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it, killed me.

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

The Law came in so that the offense would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,so that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.

So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed.

Tell me, you who want to be under law, do you not listen to the Law?

For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.

He will again take pity on us; He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea.
