You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

At just the right time Christ died for ungodly people. He died for us when we had no power of our own.

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

and if he did not spare the ancient world, but did protect Noah, a herald of righteousness, along with seven others, when God brought a flood on an ungodly world,and if he turned to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah when he condemned them to destruction, having appointed them to serve as an example to future generations of the ungodly,

But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.

realizing that law is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers!

But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

for then he would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by his sacrifice.

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was manifested in these last times for your sake.
