And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

不但如此，我們竟拿苦難而歡喜誇勝呢，因為知道苦難能生出堅忍，

不僅如此，我們也以患難誇耀，因為我們知道患難生出忍耐，

不第此也、亦樂於患難、蓋知患難生強忍、

不第此、所喜又在患難、蓋知患難生強忍、

不第此也、亦以患難為樂、以患難為樂或作因患難而誇因知患難生忍耐、

不寧惟是、吾人雖處患難、心中恆有至樂。蓋知患難所以生堅忍、

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

And that’s not all. We are full of joy even when we suffer. We know that our suffering gives us the strength to go on.

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness;

And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,

And not only[ so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

Not only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;

Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials,knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

And He has said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread,

Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.Rejoice on that day and jump for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers used to treat the prophets the same way.

For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,

But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?Just as it is written:“ For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.

By your endurance you will gain your lives.

Therefore I ask you not to become discouraged about my tribulations in your behalf, since they are your glory.

Are they servants of Christ?— I am speaking as if insane— I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.Five times I received from the Jews thirty nine lashes.Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea.I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among false brothers;I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches.Who is weak without my being weak? Who is led into sin without my intense concern?If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness.

For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf,

“ Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
