What should we say then? Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply?

Because of Your name, Yahweh, forgive my sin, for it is great.

For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under law but under grace.

Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels by means of a mediator.Now a mediator is not for just one person, but God is one.Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly be by the law.But the Scripture has imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.Before this faith came, we were confined under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith was revealed.The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith.But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,

For the law produces wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sinsin which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens, the spirit now working in the disobedient.We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

Now we know that whatever the law says speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.For no one will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

“ Come, let us discuss this,” says the Lord.“ Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will be like wool.

A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.

Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

You have not bought Me aromatic cane with silver, or satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities.“ It is I who sweep away your transgressions for My own sake and remember your sins no more.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin. Now they have no excuse for their sin.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions operated through the law in every part of us and bore fruit for death.But now we have been released from the law, since we have died to what held us, so that we may serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old letter of the law.What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to lifeand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.Therefore, did what is good cause my death? Absolutely not! On the contrary, sin, in order to be recognized as sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment, sin might become sinful beyond measure.

Who is a God like You, removing iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold on to His anger forever, because He delights in faithful love.He will again have compassion on us; He will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

You must also bear your disgrace, since you have been an advocate for your sisters. For they appear more righteous than you because of your sins, which you committed more abhorrently than they did. So you also, be ashamed and bear your disgrace, since you have made your sisters appear righteous.

But I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your older and younger sisters. I will give them to you as daughters, but not because of your covenant.I will establish My covenant with you, and you will know that I am Yahweh,so that when I make atonement for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed, and never open your mouth again because of your disgrace.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances.Then you will live in the land that I gave your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful, and will not bring famine on you.I will also make the fruit of the trees and the produce of the field plentiful, so that you will no longer experience reproach among the nations on account of famine.“ Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and detestable practices.It is not for your sake that I will act”— the declaration of the Lord God—“ let this be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated because of your ways, house of Israel!

Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to look directly at Moses’ face because of the glory from his face— a fading glory—how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with even more glory.

to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved.We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His gracethat He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or anyone practicing homosexuality,no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom.And some of you used to be like this. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not look on you with anger, for I am unfailing in My love. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not be angry forever.Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the Lord your God. You have scattered your favors to strangers under every green tree and have not obeyed My voice. This is the Lord’s declaration.“ Return, you faithless children”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ for I am your master, and I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.

Then one of the criminals hanging there began to yell insults at Him:“ Aren’t You the Messiah? Save Yourself and us!”But the other answered, rebuking him:“ Don’t you even fear God, since you are undergoing the same punishment?We are punished justly, because we’re getting back what we deserve for the things we did, but this man has done nothing wrong.”Then he said,“ Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”And He said to him,“ I assure you: Today you will be with Me in paradise.”

one who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. So Manasseh caused Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to stray so that they did worse evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they didn’t listen.So He brought against them the military commanders of the king of Assyria. They captured Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze shackles, and took him to Babylon.When he was in distress, he sought the favor of Yahweh his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.He prayed to Him, so He heard his petition and granted his request, and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that Yahweh is God.
