And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.

且以一人干罪、亦不如恩賜、蓋鞫由一人以致定罪、恩賜則由多愆以致見義也、

定擬由一人之罪、不如恩賜由一人之義、蓋審判由一罪以定擬、恩賜則多罪而稱義、

又一人犯罪之所致、不如恩賜、蓋由一人之愆、有審判以定罪、由恩賜、乃免多愆以稱義、

且恩賜之效、不僅抵銷一原罪而已。蓋審判雖據一罪而定讞、而慈恩則免眾罪以成義。

Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.

The result of God’s gift is different from the result of Adam’s sin. That one sin brought God’s judgment. But after many sins, God’s gift made people right with him.

And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins.

And the gift is not like the one man’s sin, because from one sin came the judgment, resulting in condemnation, but from many trespasses came the gift, resulting in justification.

The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one offense, resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the gracious gift arose from many offenses, resulting in justification.

And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.

And not as through one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment came of one unto condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses unto justification.

And the gift is not like the one man’s sin, because from one sin came the judgment, resulting in condemnation, but from many trespasses came the gift, resulting in justification.

Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.But the Lord God called to the man and said to him,“ Where are you?”And he said,“ I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”He said,“ Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”The man said,“ The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”Then the Lord God said to the woman,“ What is this that you have done?” The woman said,“ The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”The Lord God said to the serpent,“ Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”To the woman he said,“ I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.”And to Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

“ Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.

though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

“ I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven— for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”And he said to her,“ Your sins are forgiven.”Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this, who even forgives sins?”And he said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.

For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.

For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written,“ Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”
