雖然、恩寵之效、固非罪惡之累所得同日而語矣。夫因一人之罪、致眾受其死、則因一人之功、不更能使眾沾其恩耶？

只是过犯不如恩赐，若因一人的过犯，众人都死了，何况神的恩典，与那因耶稣基督一人恩典中的赏赐，岂不更加倍地临到众人吗？

然而，上帝的洪恩远超过亚当的过犯。若因一人的过犯，众人都要死亡，那么上帝的恩典，也就是通过耶稣基督一人所赐的恩典，岂不要更丰富地临到众人吗？

但恩赏和过犯是截然不同的；如果因着那一人的过犯，众人都死了，神的恩典和这一人耶稣基督在恩典里的赏赐，对众人就更加丰盛了。

但是恩赐不同于过犯。原来，一个人的过犯尚且使众人都死了，何况神的恩典和耶稣基督一个人恩典里的赏赐，难道不更要丰丰富富地临到众人吗？

只是過犯不如恩賜，若因一人的過犯，眾人都死了，何況神的恩典，與那因耶穌基督一人恩典中的賞賜，豈不更加倍地臨到眾人嗎？

但愆尤不如恩賜、若以一人之愆尤、致眾死亡、則上帝之恩、及因一人耶穌基督之恩賜、尤溢於眾矣、

罪愆不如恩賜、蓋以一人之愆、致眾死亡、孰若上帝之恩、及耶穌基督一人、恩賜於有眾、為高厚乎、

但罪愆不如恩賜、若一人之愆、致眾皆死、況天主之寵與賜、因耶穌基督一人之恩、不益廣施於眾乎、

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

God’s gift can’t be compared with Adam’s sin. Many people died because of the sin of that one man. But it was even more sure that God’s grace would also come through one man. That man is Jesus Christ. God’s gift of grace was more than enough for the whole world.

But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.

But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if by the one man’s trespass the many died, how much more have the grace of God and the gift which comes through the grace of the one man Jesus Christ overflowed to the many.

But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many.

But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

But not as the trespass, so also is the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many.

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if by the one man’s trespass the many died, how much more have the grace of God and the gift overflowed to the many by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ.

But not as the offence, so also[ is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace,[ which is] by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

But the gracious gift is not like the transgression. For if the many died through the transgression of the one man, how much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ multiply to the many!

But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

蓋罪孽之果報為死、而天主之恩賜、則因耶穌基督而獲永生是已。

夫罪緣一人之身、而侵入斯世；罪之所至、死則隨之；人皆有罪、亦皆有死。

蓋爾因信而蒙救、實憑聖寵；凡此皆非爾所固有、純出天主之惠賜。

且恩賜之效、不僅抵銷一原罪而已。蓋審判雖據一罪而定讞、而慈恩則免眾罪以成義。夫以一人之罪、死亡即因若人而乘權；況在沾溉洪恩而受成義之惠者、有不因唯一基督、而乘權於生命之中乎？總之、眾人皆因一人之罪而處死、亦因一人之義得免罪責、而獲生命。蓋因一人之逆、而眾皆獲罪；亦因一人之順、而眾皆成義也。夫法之所至罪之所彰也；而罪之所彰、恩亦彌盛。

於此天主之福澤、實有不可思議者焉。吾人可不心歌而腹詠乎哉！

此予之血、為洗除眾人之罪而流者、亦即新約之盟血也。

今所見者、乃耶穌降生為人時、本輸天神一籌、俾藉天主之聖寵、為普世生靈親嘗死亡之味；及其既死、則已冠以光榮尊貴之冕矣。

未幾、望見不可勝數之群眾、係來自各種、各族、遐荒、重譯者；一律身着白袍、手持鳳尾棕枝、肅立寶座與羔羊前、眾口同聲而呼曰：「我之得救、實賴位於寶座者及羔羊之洪恩。」

婦曰：『先生既無汲水之具、而井又深、將何從而得活水乎？

正如人子之來、非以役人、乃為人役、且捨其生以為眾人之贖焉。』

予應之曰：「公自知之。」渠乃語予曰：若輩來自憂患中、備嘗艱辛、曾藉羔羊之血、自濯其袍、所服皜皜乎不可尚已；故得奉事天主於寶座之前、朝朝暮暮、不離聖殿；位於寶座者且將庇之於閟帷之下焉。若輩不復饑渴、日不得而曝之、火不得而爇之；蓋座前羔羊將親為之牧、導之引之、以至活水之源；而天主且將親拭其目中之淚也。

夫天主不惜以其惟一聖子賜之於世、俾凡信之者、得免淪亡、而獲永生、是其愛世之篤、為何如乎？

然吾儕固信己之獲救、乃賴耶穌之恩、與若輩無以異也。』

基督者、贖罪之犧牲、不僅贖吾人之罪、亦贖全世人類之罪也。
