故此、罪怎樣藉着一個人而入了世界，死又藉着罪而入了世界，死也怎樣因萬人都犯了罪而傳遍到萬人。

这就如罪是从一人入了世界，死又是从罪来的，于是死就临到众人，因为众人都犯了罪。

为此，正如罪是从一人进入世界，死又从罪而来，于是死就临到所有的人，因为人人都犯了罪。

为此，正如罪是从一人进入世界，死又从罪而来，于是死就临到所有的人，因为人人都犯了罪。

因此，罪怎样从一个人进入世界并带来了死亡，死亡也怎样临到了全人类，因为全人类都犯了罪。

正好像罪藉着一个人入了世界，死又是从罪来的，所以死就临到所有人，因为所有人都犯了罪。

所以，正如罪是藉着一个人进入了世界，并且死是藉着罪进入的；这样，因为人人都犯了罪，死也就临到了所有的人。

夫罪緣一人之身、而侵入斯世；罪之所至、死則隨之；人皆有罪、亦皆有死。

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

死既藉着一人而有，死人之復活就藉着一人而有了。眾人怎樣在亞當裏都死了，眾人也必怎樣在基督裏活過來。

因那一人之不聽從、萬眾也怎樣被認為罪人；照樣，因這一人之聽從、萬眾也怎樣都被認為義人。

因為罪的工價即是死，然而上帝的恩賜乃是永生、於我們的主基督耶穌裏。

只是那能使人分別善惡的知識樹的果子，你卻不可喫；因為你喫的日子、你一定死。』

因為萬人都犯了罪，都虧缺了上帝的榮耀，

然後私慾受了孕，才產生罪；罪既長成，就產出死來。

你必汗流滿面、才得喫食，直到你歸了土，因為你是由土取出來的：你本是塵土，仍要歸於塵土。』

唉，我是在罪孽中生的；在罪惡中我母親孕懷了我。

以致罪在死中怎樣掌了王權，恩典也可以藉着救人之義怎樣掌王權，使人藉着我們的主耶穌基督得永生。

於是女人見那棵樹的果子做食品似乎好喫，又悅人眼目，而且可喜愛、能使人有智慧，就摘取那果子來喫了；又給她丈夫一齊喫，她丈夫也喫了。

然後死亡和陰間也被丟在火湖裏。這火湖就是第二次的死。若有人在生命冊上沒被記名的、就被丟在火湖裏。

看哪，世人都是屬我的：為父的人怎樣屬我，為子的人也怎樣屬我：只有犯罪的人、才必須死。

我們在許多事上都能有失錯；若有人在話語上沒有失錯，他就是完全的人，竟能勒制全身的。

然而從亞當到摩西、連那些不按亞當犯法的樣子去犯罪的人，死也掌了王權去管轄他們。亞當原是後來要到的那位之豫像。但上帝的恩賜是遠超乎人之過犯的；萬眾既因那一人的過犯而死，那麼上帝之恩典、以及在耶穌基督一人恩典中白白之恩、豈不越發加給萬眾麼？上帝的恩賞又是遠超乎一人犯罪之結果的：因為罪案是起於一次的過犯、而有定罪之事；但恩賜呢、雖起於許多次過犯，卻仍有斷為無罪之舉。死既因那一人的過犯、藉那一人而掌王權，那麼那些領受滿溢之恩典和稱義白白之恩的人、豈不更要藉着耶穌基督一人而在生命中掌王權麼？

永恆主上帝說：『看哪，那人既像我們中間的一個、曉得分別善惡；現在恐怕他伸出手來、也摘取生命樹的果子喫，就永遠活着。』永恆主上帝便打發他出伊甸園，去耕種土地；原來他自己倒是從土地被取出來的。於是把那人趕逐出去，又在伊甸園東邊安設基路伯拿着發火燄的旋轉劍，來把守生命樹的路。
