因此，罪怎樣從一個人進入世界並帶來了死亡，死亡也怎樣臨到了全人類，因為全人類都犯了罪。

这就如罪是从一人入了世界，死又是从罪来的，于是死就临到众人，因为众人都犯了罪。

为此，正如罪是从一人进入世界，死又从罪而来，于是死就临到所有的人，因为人人都犯了罪。

所以，正如罪是藉着一个人进入了世界，并且死是藉着罪进入的；这样，因为人人都犯了罪，死也就临到了所有的人。

是以罪由一人入世、因罪而有死、於是死延於眾、以皆獲罪也、

且以一人、在世有罪、因罪而死、於是人皆有罪、人皆有死、

是以自從罪由一人入世、死因罪而有、則死臨於眾人、以眾人犯罪、

夫罪緣一人之身、而侵入斯世；罪之所至、死則隨之；人皆有罪、亦皆有死。

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

既然死亡的到來是藉著一人，復活的到來也是藉著一人。因為正如在亞當裡眾人都死了，同樣，在基督裡眾人也都要復活。

因為一人的悖逆，眾人成為罪人；照樣，因為一人的順服，眾人將被稱為義人。

因為罪的代價就是死亡，而上帝藉著主基督耶穌賜下的禮物則是永生。

只是不可吃那棵分別善惡樹的果子，因為你若吃了，當天必死。」

因為世人都犯了罪，虧欠上帝的榮耀，

私慾懷了胎，便生出罪，罪一旦長成，便帶來死亡。

你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，一直到你歸回塵土。因為你是塵土造的，也必歸回塵土。」

我生來就是個罪人，在母腹成胎的時候就有罪。

罪怎樣掌權帶來死亡，恩典也照樣藉著義掌權，為要藉著我們主耶穌基督帶來永生。

女人見那棵樹上的果子可口，賞心悅目，可以使人有智慧，就摘下來吃了。她也把果子給跟她在一起的丈夫，他也吃了。

之後，死亡和陰間也被扔進火湖裡，這火湖就是第二次的死。名字沒有記在生命冊上的都要被扔進火湖裡。

因為所有的生命都屬於我，父和子都屬於我。誰犯罪，誰死亡。

因為我們在許多方面難免有過失。如果誰在言語上沒有過失，他就是純全的人，也能在各方面保持自制。

事實上，從亞當到摩西的時代，死亡一直辖制著人類，甚至連那些不與亞當犯同樣罪的人也不能倖免。亞當是將要來的那位的預表。然而，上帝的洪恩遠超過亞當的過犯。若因一人的過犯，眾人都要死亡，那麼上帝的恩典，也就是通過耶穌基督一人所賜的恩典，豈不要更豐富地臨到眾人嗎？再者，上帝的恩賜不同於一人犯罪的後果。一人犯罪便帶來審判和定罪，恩賜卻使眾人罪惡得赦、被稱為義人。如果因一人的過犯，死亡就藉著那人作了王，那麼接受上帝洪恩又得到祂所賜之義的人，豈不更要藉著耶穌基督一人在生命中作王嗎？

耶和華上帝說：「看啊，那人已經與我們相似，能分辨善惡。現在，恐怕他會伸手去摘生命樹的果子吃，那樣他就會永遠活著。」因此，耶和華上帝就把亞當趕出伊甸園，讓他去開墾土地——他的本源。上帝趕走了亞當以後，就派遣基路伯天使駐守在伊甸園東邊，又用一把旋轉的火劍守護在通往生命樹的路上。
