However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

But things are different with God. He makes ungodly people right with himself. If people trust in him, their faith is accepted even though they do not work. Their faith makes them right with God.

And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.

But to the one who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited for righteousness.

But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, misled, enslaved to various passions and desires, spending our lives in evil and envy, hateful and hating one another.But“ when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior.And so, since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life.”

namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction,

because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying,“ All the nations will be blessed in you.”So then those who believe are blessed along with Abraham the believer.For all who rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.”Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith.But the law is not based on faith, but the one who does the works of the law will live by them.Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us( because it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.

yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves have also been found to be sinners, is Christ then one who encourages sin? Absolutely not!

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals,thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.Some of you once lived this way. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory.

For what does the scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,and by this one everyone who believes is justified from everything from which the law of Moses could not justify you.

Jesus replied,“ This is the deed God requires– to believe in the one whom he sent.”

Look, the one whose desires are not upright will faint from exhaustion, but the person of integrity will live because of his faithfulness.

For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written,“ The righteous by faith will live.”For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness,

“ I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.( For rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person perhaps someone might possibly dare to die.)But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded! By what principle? Of works? No, but by the principle of faith!For we consider that a person is declared righteous by faith apart from the works of the law.Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles too? Yes, of the Gentiles too!Since God is one, he will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all– how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died( and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.

Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood there before the angel.The angel spoke up to those standing all around,“ Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua,“ I have freely forgiven your iniquity and will dress you in fine clothing.”

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”– and I am the worst of them!
