But to the one who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited for righteousness.

However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

But things are different with God. He makes ungodly people right with himself. If people trust in him, their faith is accepted even though they do not work. Their faith makes them right with God.

And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.

But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.

But to the one who does not work, but believes on Him who declares the ungodly to be righteous, his faith is credited for righteousness.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous, his faith is credited as righteousness.

But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,he saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviorso that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction.

If you confess with your mouth,“ Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and proclaimed the gospel ahead of time to Abraham, saying, All the nations will be blessed through you.Consequently, those who have faith are blessed with Abraham, who had faith.For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed.Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith.But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.

and yet because we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus. This was so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.But if we ourselves are also found to be“ sinners” while seeking to be justified by Christ, is Christ then a promoter of sin? Absolutely not!

Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or males who have sex with males,no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom.And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Since they are ignorant of the righteousness of God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God’s righteousness.

but also for us. It will be credited to us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.We have also obtained access through him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness.

Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers and sisters, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you.Everyone who believes is justified through him from everything that you could not be justified from through the law of Moses.

Jesus replied,“ This is the work of God— that you believe in the one he has sent.”

Look, his ego is inflated; he is without integrity. But the righteous one will live by his faith.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,

“ Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.

For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.For rarely will someone die for a just person— though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By one of works? No, on the contrary, by a law of faith.For we conclude that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies.Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the one who died, but even more, has been raised; he also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.

Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.So the angel of the LORD spoke to those standing before him,“ Take off his filthy clothes!” Then he said to him,“ See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with festive robes.”

even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief,and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”— and I am the worst of them.

Joshua said to all the people,“ This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:‘ Long ago your ancestors, including Terah, the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods.
