故雖明知己之將近百歲、精力枯竭、且明知灑蕾之久已絕孕；然信心未因此而稍衰、

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead— since he was about a hundred years old— and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

Abraham did not become weak in his faith. He accepted the fact that he was past the time when he could have children. At that time Abraham was about 100 years old. He also realized that Sarah was too old to have children.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead( since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.

And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead— and so was Sarah’s womb.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about a hundred years old) and also the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead( since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead( he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

He considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about 100 years old) and also considered the deadness of Sarah’s womb, without weakening in the faith.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

Without being weakened in faith, he didn’t consider his own body, already having been worn out,( he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

亞伯拉罕就伏臉而笑，心裏說：『一百歲的人還能生孩子麼？撒拉已經九十歲，還能生養麼？』

因着信、連撒拉雖過了生育歲數的時期，還能獲得能力而孕懷後裔，因為她以那發應許的為可信可靠；故此竟從一個人、又是彷彿死了的、生出子孫來，像天上的星辰那麼眾多，像海濱的沙那麼無數。這些人都是存着信心而死，沒有領受所應許的，乃是遠遠望見而致敬，承認自己在地上是旅客是寄居的。說這樣話的人是顯出自己在切求着一個家鄉。假使他們是想念着所離開的家鄉，總還有機會可以折回去的。其實呢、他們是希求一個較好的、就是天上的。故此上帝稱為他們的上帝、也不以為恥；因為他已經給他們豫備了一座城了。因着信、亞伯拉罕被試驗的時候，就把以撒供獻了；並且那領受了應許的是想要供獻個獨生子呢；而關於這兒子並且有話說：『是本於以撒的、才得以稱為你的後裔』的。亞伯拉罕心裏想，就是從死人中、上帝也能叫人甦活起來；因此在表樣的意義上說、他也真地得回了以撒呀。

耶穌對他說：『「你若能」！在信的人、凡事都能呀！』孩子的父親立即喊着說：『我信；援助我的不信哦！』

野地裏的草、今天還在、明天就丟在爐子裏的，上帝尚且這樣衣被它們，他豈不更要衣被你們麼、小信的人哪？

耶穌對他們說：『小信的人哪，為甚麼膽怯？』便起來，斥責風和海，就大大平靜了。

耶穌立刻伸手拉住他，對他說：『小信的人哪，為甚麼猶豫？』

不喫肉，不喝酒，不在任何事上叫你的弟兄碰倒、才是好的。

也沒有以不信之心去疑惑上帝的應許，反而在信心上得了能力而堅固，而將榮耀歸與上帝，並且堅確地相信、有話應許的、上帝必有能力實行。

當時亞伯拉罕和撒拉已經老邁，上了年紀；撒拉的女人事兒也停止了。撒拉肚子裏暗笑着說：『我已經衰敗，我的丈夫也老邁，哪裏還能有婚媾的樂趣呢？』永恆主對亞伯拉罕說：『撒拉為甚麼暗笑着說：「我既已老邁，果真能生養嗎？」在永恆主、還有奇難事麼？到了所定的日期，在婦人懷孕滿期的時候，我必回到你這裏來，撒拉必生個兒子。』

然後對多馬說：『拿你的指頭到這裏來、看看我的手；拿你的手探入我的肋旁；別無信心了！務要有信心！』多馬回答耶穌說：『我的主，我的上帝！』
