For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect,

若是属乎律法的人才得为后嗣，信就归于虚空，应许也就废弃了。

若是属于律法的人才是后嗣，信就落空了，应许也就失效了。

如果只有遵行律法的人才可以承受应许，信心就没有价值，上帝的应许也就落了空。

如果属于律法的人才能成为后嗣，信就没有作用，应许也就落空了。

这是因为，如果本于律法的才是继承人，信就落了空，应许也就无效了。

若是屬乎律法的人才得為後嗣，信就歸於虛空，應許也就廢棄了。

若是屬於律法的人才是後嗣，信就落空了，應許也就失效了。

若是屬於律法的人才是後嗣，信就落空了，應許也就失效了。

若由律者為嗣、信則虛、許亦廢矣、

若恃法為嗣子、則信歸烏有、許亦無益、

若屬律法者為嗣子、則信歸於虛、所許亦廢矣、

若惟屬於律法者得為嗣子、是不啻廢棄信德、而致恩諾於無效也。

For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless,

Do those who depend on the law receive the promise? If they do, faith would mean nothing. God’s promise would be worthless.

For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void.

If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless.

If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise nullified,

For if those who are of the Law are heirs, then faith is made void and the promise is nullified;

For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:

If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise is canceled.

For if they which are of the law[ be] heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified.

For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect.

For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed.Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

But if her husband truly made them void on the day he heard them, then whatever proceeded from her lips concerning her vows or concerning the agreement binding her, it shall not stand; her husband has made them void, and the Lord will release her.

It is time for You to act, O Lord, For they have regarded Your law as void.

And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hands of those who seek their lives; their corpses I will give as meat for the birds of the heaven and for the beasts of the earth.

Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

But if he does make them void after he has heard them, then he shall bear her guilt.”
