其受割之儀式、不過為因信成義之印證、而其信德則於未割之時、固已全具矣。因是亞伯漢乃為未受割而因信成義者之父、

And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.

He was circumcised as a sign of the covenant God had made with him. It showed that his faith had made him right with God before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the father of all believers who have not been circumcised. God accepts their faith. So their faith makes them right with him.

He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

Circumcision was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous— even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are counted as righteous because of their faith.

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.

就是上帝的义，因信耶稣基督加给一切信的人。这并没有分别，

耶稣对他说：“今天救恩到了这家，因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。

因着信，挪亚既蒙上帝指示他未见的事，动了敬畏的心，造了方舟，使他全家得救。藉此他定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那从信而来的义。

他在我们身上盖了印，并赐圣灵在我们心里作凭据。

耶稣对他们说：“我就是生命的粮。到我这里来的，绝不饥饿；信我的，永不干渴。

不要使上帝的圣灵担忧，你们原是受了他的印记，等候得救赎的日子来到。

在基督里你们听见真理的道，就是那使你们得救的福音，你们也信了他，就受了所应许的圣灵为印记。

也使他作受割礼之人的父，就是那些不但受割礼，而且跟随我们的祖宗亚伯拉罕未受割礼而信的足迹的人。因为上帝给亚伯拉罕和他后裔承受世界的应许不是藉着律法，而是藉着信而得的义。

它们奉命不可伤害地上的草、各样绿色植物和各种树木，惟独可伤害额上没有上帝印记的人；

且以我的安息日为圣。这日必在我与你们中间作记号，使你们知道我是耶和华—你们的上帝。’

既然你们属于基督，你们就是亚伯拉罕的子孙，是照着应许承受产业的了。

并且得以在他里面，不是有自己因律法而得的义，而是有信基督的义，就是基于信，从上帝而来的义，

耶稣对她说：“复活在我，生命也在我。信我的人虽然死了，也必复活。凡活着信我的人必永远不死。你信这话吗？”

信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不到永生，而且上帝的愤怒常在他身上。”

我实实在在地告诉你们，信的人有永生。

他们回答他：“我们是亚伯拉罕的后裔，从来没有作过谁的奴隶，你怎么说‘会使你们自由’呢？”

律法的总结就是基督，使所有信他的人都得着义。

至于我们，我们是靠着圣灵，凭着信心，等候所盼望的义。

因为我父的旨意是要使每一个见了子而信的人得永生，并且在末日我要使他复活。”

但圣经把万物都圈在罪里，为要使因信耶稣基督而来的应许归给信的人。

我又告诉你们，从东从西，将有许多人来，在天国里与亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各一同坐席；

这不是说上帝的话落了空。因为从以色列生的不都是以色列人，

耶稣基督的仆人和使徒西门‧彼得写信给那因我们的上帝和救主耶稣基督的义，与我们同得一样宝贵信心的人。

耶和华—你的上帝要使你的心和你后裔的心受割礼，好叫你尽心尽性爱耶和华—你的上帝，使你可以存活。

因为外表是犹太人的不是真犹太人；外表肉身的割礼也不是真割礼。惟有内心作犹太人的才是真犹太人，真割礼也是心里的，在乎圣灵，不在乎仪文。这样的人所受的称赞不是从人来的，而是从上帝来的。

要使一切信他的人都得永生。“上帝爱世人，甚至将他独一的儿子赐给他们，叫一切信他的人不致灭亡，反得永生。

这是我和以色列人之间永远的记号，因为六日之内耶和华造天地，第七日就安息舒畅。”

这血要在你们所住的房屋上作记号；我一见这血，就逾越你们。我击打埃及地的时候，灾殃必不临到你们身上施行毁灭。”

西门‧彼得回答说：“你是基督，是永生上帝的儿子。”

所以，人作后嗣是出于信，因此就属乎恩，以致应许保证归给所有的后裔，不但归给那属于律法的，也归给那效法亚伯拉罕之信的人。亚伯拉罕所信的是那叫死人复活、使无变为有的上帝，在这位上帝面前亚伯拉罕成为我们众人的父，如经上所记：“我已经立你作多国之父。”

信我的人，就如经上所说：‘从他腹中将流出活水的江河来。’”耶稣这话是指信他的人要受圣灵说的；那时还没有赐下圣灵，因为耶稣还没有得到荣耀。

凡照这准则行的人，愿平安怜悯加给他们，和上帝的以色列民。

这就是我与你，以及你的后裔所立的约，是你们所当遵守的，你们所有的男子都要受割礼。你们要割去肉体的包皮，这是我与你们立约的记号。

所以，你们知道：有信心的人才是亚伯拉罕的子孙。

我将我的安息日赐给他们，在我与他们中间作记号，让他们知道我—耶和华是使他们分别为圣的。

经上说：“凡信靠他的人必不蒙羞。”

“你要吩咐以色列人说：‘你们务要守我的安息日，因为这是你我之间世世代代的记号，叫你们知道我是耶和华，是使你们分别为圣的。

这样，我们要怎么说呢？那不追求义的外邦人却获得了义，就是因信而获得的义。

但出于信的义却如此说：“你不要心里说：谁要升到天上去呢？（就是说，把基督领下来。）

就如经上所记：“我在锡安放一块绊脚的石头，使人跌倒的磐石；信靠他的人必不蒙羞。”
