After all, is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.

难道神只作犹太人的神吗？不也是作外邦人的神吗？是的，也作外邦人的神。

曰、上帝獨猶太人之上帝乎、抑異邦人之上帝乎、曰、亦異邦人之上帝也、

天主獨猶太人之天主乎、亦非異邦人之天主乎、誠亦異邦人之天主、

夫天主豈僅猶太人之天主、而非列邦之天主乎？固亦列邦之天主也。

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,

Or is God for Jews only? Is He not also for Gentiles? Yes, for Gentiles too,

[ Is he] the God of the Jews only?[ is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles too? Yes, of the Gentiles too!

Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

Many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day, and they, too, will be my people. I will live among you, and you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies sent me to you.

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.

Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.

For your Creator will be your husband; the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.

“ But the Lord said to me,‘ Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”

So Abraham said to God,“ May Ishmael live under your special blessing!”

But the Lord said,“ Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.

I am a special messenger from Christ Jesus to you Gentiles. I bring you the Good News so that I might present you as an acceptable offering to God, made holy by the Holy Spirit.

And he said,“ Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem:‘ There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’

Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ So he is the God of the living, not the dead.”

In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles

But my name is honored by people of other nations from morning till night. All around the world they offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of my name. For my name is great among the nations,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says the Lord.“ I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Lord, you are my strength and fortress, my refuge in the day of trouble! Nations from around the world will come to you and say,“ Our ancestors left us a foolish heritage, for they worshiped worthless idols.

“ Yet the time will come when Israel’s people will be like the sands of the seashore— too many to count! Then, at the place where they were told,‘ You are not my people,’ it will be said,‘ You are children of the living God.’

Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it.I am saying all this especially for you Gentiles. God has appointed me as the apostle to the Gentiles. I stress this,

“ I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.And I will give the entire land of Canaan, where you now live as a foreigner, to you and your descendants. It will be their possession forever, and I will be their God.”

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: People from nations and cities around the world will travel to Jerusalem.The people of one city will say to the people of another,‘ Come with us to Jerusalem to ask the Lord to bless us. Let’s worship the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. I’m determined to go.’Many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord of Heaven’s Armies and to ask for his blessing.“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: In those days ten men from different nations and languages of the world will clutch at the sleeve of one Jew. And they will say,‘ Please let us walk with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”

And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian.For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise.

May your ways be known throughout the earth, your saving power among people everywhere.

And we are among those whom he selected, both from the Jews and from the Gentiles.Concerning the Gentiles, God says in the prophecy of Hosea,“ Those who were not my people, I will now call my people. And I will love those whom I did not love before.”And,“ Then, at the place where they were told,‘ You are not my people,’ there they will be called‘ children of the living God.’”

Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying,

And then he told them,“ Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

In that day Egypt and Assyria will be connected by a highway. The Egyptians and Assyrians will move freely between their lands, and they will both worship God.In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth.For the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will say,“ Blessed be Egypt, my people. Blessed be Assyria, the land I have made. Blessed be Israel, my special possession!”

He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote:“ For this, I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name.”And in another place it is written,“ Rejoice with his people, you Gentiles.”And yet again,“ Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles. Praise him, all you people of the earth.”And in another place Isaiah said,“ The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on him.”I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes— the Jew first and also the Gentile.
