这样，有什么可夸的呢？没有可夸的了。凭什么准则说没有的呢？凭行为吗？不是的，而是以信心为准则说的。

既然如此，还有什么可夸耀的呢？根本没有。凭着什么法则呢？凭着行为的法则吗？不是！而是凭着信的法则。

既是這樣，哪裏能誇口呢？沒有可誇的了。用何法沒有的呢？是用立功之法嗎？不是，乃用信主之法。

那麼可誇口的在哪裏呢？絕無可誇之餘地了。這無可誇是憑着甚麼法呢？憑着行為的法麼？不，乃是憑着信的法。

既然如此，還有什麼可誇耀的呢？根本沒有。憑著什麼法則呢？憑著行為的法則嗎？不是！而是憑著信的法則。

然則所誇安在乎、曰、無之矣、以何律無之、以行之律乎、曰、非也、以信之律耳、

然則有何可誇乎、曰、無、以何法無之、恃己所行之法乎、曰、否、在信、

然則有何可誇乎、無有、以何法無之、以行之法乎、非也、乃以信之法、

然則吾人復何所誇？實無所誇也。尚憑何法？其憑事功之法乎？非也！乃憑立信之法耳。

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith.

So who can brag? No one! Are people saved by the law that requires them to obey? Not at all! They are saved because of the law that requires faith.

Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith.

Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith.

You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

If Abraham was justified by works, he has something to brag about— but not before God.

so that no one can boast in His presence.But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us— our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rest in the law, boast in God,

But the Scripture has imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Now we know that whatever the law says speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.

So I discover this principle: When I want to do what is good, evil is with me.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and looked down on everyone else:“ Two men went up to the temple complex to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee took his stand and was praying like this:‘ God, I thank You that I’m not like other people— greedy, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’“ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes to heaven but kept striking his chest and saying,‘ God, turn Your wrath from me— a sinner!’I tell you, this one went down to his house justified rather than the other; because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

But I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.

Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

On that day you will not be put to shame because of everything you have done in rebelling against Me. For then I will remove your proud, arrogant people from among you, and you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain.

For though her sons had not been born yet or done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election might stand—

I will establish My covenant with you, and you will know that I am Yahweh,so that when I make atonement for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed, and never open your mouth again because of your disgrace.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

“ Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and detestable practices.It is not for your sake that I will act”— the declaration of the Lord God—“ let this be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated because of your ways, house of Israel!

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh, to the law of sin.

For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you didn’t receive? If, in fact, you did receive it, why do you boast as if you hadn’t received it?

For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them.

Why is that? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.

know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.
