God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood— to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—

God gave Christ as a sacrifice to pay for sins through the spilling of his blood. So God forgives the sins of those who have faith. God did all this to prove that he does what is right. He is a God of mercy. So he did not punish for their sins the people who lived before Jesus lived.

whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,

These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith, didn’t receive the promise,God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh,

Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we can’t speak now in detail.

and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a servant.

The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.

For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son,

Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.

What then will we say that Abraham, our forefather, has found according to the flesh?For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God.For what does the Scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,“ Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”

But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.

Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.

nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own,or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. Your law is truth.

him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

The heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah.

I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.

“ All of God’s works are known to him from eternity.

The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.
