夫法之所言、所以昭示法內之人、亦所以塞夫人之口、而使舉世皆服罪於天主之前也。

“ In truth I know that this is so; But how can a person be in the right with God?If one wished to dispute with Him, He could not answer Him once in a thousand times.

For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them.”

so that you may remember and be ashamed, and not open your mouth again because of your disgrace, when I have forgiven you for all that you have done,” the Lord God declares.

The upright see it and are glad; But all injustice shuts its mouth.

What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

So the helpless has hope, And injustice has shut its mouth.

Tell me, you who want to be under law, do you not listen to the Law?

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

But this has happened so that the word that is written in their Law will be fulfilled:‘ They hated Me for no reason.’

To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the Law, I became as one under the Law, though not being under the Law myself, so that I might gain those who are under the Law;to those who are without the Law, I became as one without the Law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might gain those who are without the Law.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Jesus answered them,“ Has it not been written in your Law:‘ I said, you are gods’?If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came( and the Scripture cannot be nullified),

Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person be found a liar, as it is written:“ So that You are justified in Your words, And prevail when You are judged.”

Therefore you have no excuse, you foolish person, everyone of you who passes judgment; for in that matter in which you judge someone else, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things.

But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed.

He watches over the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a person prevail.

so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters.
