又云：『舌端弄詭譎、咽喉如荒墓；唇內藏辛螫、

May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things;Who have said,“ With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; who is lord over us?”

Their wine is the venom of serpents, And the deadly poison of vipers.

Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person be found a liar, as it is written:“ So that You are justified in Your words, And prevail when You are judged.”

“ They bend their tongues like their bows; Lies and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” declares the Lord.“ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother utterly betrays, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing wrongdoing.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.So you too, outwardly appear righteous to people, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.

The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with wrongdoing; Your lips have spoken deceit, Your tongue mutters wickedness.

You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, express any good things? For the mouth speaks from that which fills the heart.The good person brings out of his good treasure good things; and the evil person brings out of his evil treasure evil things.

Their quiver is like an open grave, All of them are warriors.

Did you not see a false vision and tell a lying divination when you said,‘ The Lord declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?” ’ ”

Yet his food in his stomach is changed To the venom of cobras within him.He swallows riches, But will vomit them up; God will expel them from his belly.He sucks the poison of cobras; The viper’s tongue kills him.
