又云：『舌端弄詭譎、咽喉如荒墓；唇內藏辛螫、

“ Their throats are like open graves. With their tongues they tell lies.”( Psalm 5:9)“ The words from their lips are like the poison of a snake.”( Psalm 140:3)

Their throat is an open grave; they deceive with their tongues. Vipers’ venom is under their lips.

For there is no truth in their mouth; their inmost self is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.

They make their tongue sharp as a serpent’s, and under their lips is the venom of asps. Selah

May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts,those who say,“ With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is master over us?”

their wine is the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of asps.

By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written,“ That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”

They bend their tongue like a bow; falsehood and not truth has grown strong in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me, declares the Lord.Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.Everyone deceives his neighbor, and no one speaks the truth; they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves committing iniquity.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness.So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.

The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.

For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue mutters wickedness.

You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

Their quiver is like an open tomb; they are all mighty warriors.

Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, whenever you have said,‘ Declares the Lord,’ although I have not spoken?”

yet his food is turned in his stomach; it is the venom of cobras within him.He swallows down riches and vomits them up again; God casts them out of his belly.He will suck the poison of cobras; the tongue of a viper will kill him.
