affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;

患難窘苦、罰諸作惡之人、先猶太、次希利尼、

以患難窘苦、加諸作惡之人、先猶太人、次希拉人、

患難困苦加於作惡之人、始自猶太、推及希臘。

There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

There will be trouble and suffering for everyone who does evil. That is meant first for the Jews. It is also meant for the Gentiles.

There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek,

There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil— for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.

There will be affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;

There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek,

tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;

tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek,

oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

God raised up His Servant and sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”

and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,and so that Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles, and I will sing psalms to Your name.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

Then Paul and Barnabas boldly said:“ It was necessary that God’s message be spoken to you first. But since you reject it and consider yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles!For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Look, every life belongs to Me. The life of the father is like the life of the son— both belong to Me. The person who sins is the one who will die.

When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching the message and solemnly testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.But when they resisted and blasphemed, he shook his robe and told them,“ Your blood is on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does what is good, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you

So then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh— called“ the uncircumcised” by those called“ the circumcised,” which is done in the flesh by human hands.At that time you were without the Messiah, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His flesh,He made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.He did this so that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put the hostility to death by it.When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

Is this blessing only for the circumcised, then? Or is it also for the uncircumcised? For we say, Faith was credited to Abraham for righteousness.In what way then was it credited— while he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while he was circumcised, but uncircumcised.And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.And he became the father of the circumcised, who are not only circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith our father Abraham had while he was still uncircumcised.

for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him.

I have known only you out of all the clans of the earth; therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.

“ Brothers, sons of Abraham’s race, and those among you who fear God, the message of this salvation has been sent to us.

Therefore, let it be known to you that this saving work of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!”

We who are Jews by birth and not“ Gentile sinners”know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when trouble and stress overcome you.Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.

When they heard this they became silent. Then they glorified God, saying,“ So God has granted repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles!”

Instead, I preached to those in Damascus first, and to those in Jerusalem and in all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

What will it benefit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?

In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.

There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

For my eyes have seen Your salvation.You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples—a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel.

I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

After three days he called together the leaders of the Jews. When they had gathered he said to them:“ Brothers, although I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

And that slave who knew his master’s will and didn’t prepare himself or do it will be severely beaten.But the one who did not know and did things deserving of blows will be beaten lightly. Much will be required of everyone who has been given much. And even more will be expected of the one who has been entrusted with more.

on us, the ones He also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

Then He proceeded to denounce the towns where most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent:“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes long ago!But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until today.But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

Or is God for Jews only? Is He not also for Gentiles? Yes, for Gentiles too,since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
