To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

God will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good. They want glory, honor, and life that never ends.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished[ my] course, I have kept the faith:Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep[ it], and bring forth fruit with patience.

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal[ must] put on immortality.So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

For the wages of sin[ is] death; but the gift of God[ is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see[ him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward[ man] is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding[ and] eternal weight of glory;While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen[ are] temporal; but the things which are not seen[ are] eternal.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast[ some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?But if we hope for that we see not,[ then] do we with patience wait for[ it].

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time[ are] not worthy[ to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy[ are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

To whom God would make known what[ is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Trust in the LORD, and do good;[ so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

From that[ time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that[ cometh] from God only?

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

The LORD[ is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul[ that] seeketh him.[ It is] good that[ a man] should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see[ it].

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
