相反地，神既然考驗過我們，把福音委託給我們，我們就傳講，不像是討人歡心的，而是討那察驗我們心思的神的喜悅。

猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪！你們要為了耶和華的緣故自行割禮，除去心裡的污穢；不然，我的忿怒必因你們的惡行，如火一般發出來，無人能熄滅！”

卻要在裡面存著溫柔安靜的心靈，作不能毀壞的裝飾，這在神面前是極寶貴的。

因為蒙悅納的，不是自我推薦的人，而是主所推薦的人。

所以時候還沒有到，你們不要批評，直等到主來；他要照出黑暗中的隱情，顯明人心裡的動機。那時，各人要從神那裡得著稱讚。

但現在，我們既然向那捆綁我們的律法死了，就脫離了律法的約束，好讓我們用心靈的新樣子，而不用儀文的舊方式來服事主。

我的神啊，我知道你察驗人心，喜悅正直；至於我，我以正直的心甘願奉獻這一切；現在我也非常歡喜看見你在這裡的人民，都甘願奉獻給你。

那本來沒有受割禮卻遵守律法的人，就要審判你這有儀文和割禮而犯律法的人。

你們彼此接受稱讚，卻不尋求從獨一的神而來的稱讚，怎麼能信呢？

因為神的國不在於吃喝，而在於公義、和睦，以及聖靈裡的喜樂。

他使我們有資格作新約的僕役，這新約不是從儀文來的，而是從聖靈來的；因為儀文會使人死，而聖靈卻使人活。

主對他說：“你們法利賽人把杯盤的外面洗淨，但你們裡面卻充滿了搶奪和邪惡。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裡面卻裝滿了搶奪和放蕩。瞎眼的法利賽人哪，先把杯和盤的裡面洗淨，好使外面也可以乾淨。“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們好像粉飾了的墳墓，外面好看，裡面卻裝滿了死人的骨頭和各樣的污穢；照樣，你們外面看來像義人，裡面卻充塞著虛偽和不法。

耶路撒冷啊！洗淨你心中的邪惡，使你可以得救！你心存惡念，要到幾時呢？

耶穌回答：“我實實在在告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進神的國。從肉身生的就是肉身，從靈生的就是靈。你不要因為我對你說‘你們必須重生’而感到希奇。風隨意而吹，你聽見它的響聲，卻不知道它從哪裡來，往哪裡去；凡從聖靈生的，也是這樣。”

人不能說：‘看哪！在這裡’，或說：‘在那裡’；因為神的國就在你們裡面。”

但耶和華對撒母耳說：“不要看他的外貌和他高大的身材，因為我不揀選他。耶和華看人不像人看人，人是看外表，耶和華是看內心。”

然而時候將到，現在就是了，那靠著聖靈按著真理敬拜父的，才是真正敬拜的人；因為父在尋找這樣敬拜他的人。
