凡犯罪於法外者、沉淪於法外；犯罪於法內者、伏辜於法內。

All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

Some people do not know God’s law when they sin. They will not be judged by the law when they die. Others do know God’s law when they sin. They will be judged by the law.

For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed.

and yet because we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus. This was so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.But if we ourselves are also found to be“ sinners” while seeking to be justified by Christ, is Christ then a promoter of sin? Absolutely not!If I rebuild those things that I tore down, I show myself to be a lawbreaker.For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live for God.

To those who are without the law, like one without the law— though I am not without God’s law but under the law of Christ— to win those without the law.

I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will go down to Hades.

Now this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters had pride, plenty of food, and comfortable security, but didn’t support the poor and needy.They were haughty and did detestable acts before me, so I removed them when I saw this.

Although they know God’s just sentence— that those who practice such things deserve to die— they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

So, when Gentiles, who do not by nature have the law, do what the law demands, they are a law to themselves even though they do not have the law.They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts. Their consciences confirm this. Their competing thoughts either accuse or even excuse themon the day when God judges what people have kept secret, according to my gospel through Christ Jesus.

What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life againand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them.For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse.For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.

And that servant who knew his master’s will and didn’t prepare himself or do it will be severely beaten.But the one who did not know and did what deserved punishment will receive a light beating. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be expected.

But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

Now if the ministry that brought death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to gaze steadily at Moses’s face because of its glory, which was set aside,how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?For if the ministry that brought condemnation had glory, the ministry that brings righteousness overflows with even more glory.

I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works.Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

because the law produces wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.

‘ Anyone who does not put the words of this law into practice is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

“ You would have no authority over me at all,” Jesus answered him,“ if it hadn’t been given you from above. This is why the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin.”

Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

“ Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent,because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world in righteousness by the man he has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

For what the law could not do since it was weakened by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh as a sin offering,

But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.

For whoever keeps the entire law, and yet stumbles at one point, is guilty of breaking it all.
