斯輩不事吾主基督、惟事口腹、以巧言媚語、誘惑庸眾。

For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

People like that are not serving Christ our Lord. They are serving only themselves. With smooth talk and with words they don’t mean they fool people who don’t know any better.

constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self- control, fierce, not lovers of good,traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.For some of these are people who creep into houses and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts— and their mouth speaks proud things— showing respect of persons to gain advantage.

For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,whose mouths must be stopped: men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain’s sake.One of them, a prophet of their own, said,“ Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons.”

For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self- willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a railing judgment against them before the Lord.But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;having eyes full of adultery, and who can’t cease from sin; enticing unsettled souls; having a heart trained in greed; children of cursing;forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;

These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ’s apostles.And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

“ No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,and every spirit who doesn’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God, and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.

They did this to all the Israelites who came there to Shiloh.Yes, before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man who sacrificed,“ Give meat to roast for the priest; for he will not accept boiled meat from you, but raw.”If the man said to him,“ Let the fat be burned first, and then take as much as your soul desires;” then he would say,“ No, but you shall give it to me now; and if not, I will take it by force.”The sin of the young men was very great before Yahweh; for the men despised Yahweh’s offering.

If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

Therefore I will give their wives to others, and their fields to those who will possess them. For everyone from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.They have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying,“ Peace, peace,” when there is no peace.

For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil.

They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.It will be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned giving to Yahweh.Prostitution, wine, and new wine take away understanding.

His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They can’t bark— dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.Yes, the dogs are greedy. They can never have enough. They are shepherds who can’t understand. They have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, from every quarter.“ Come,” say they,“ I will get wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow will be as today, great beyond measure.”

to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord Yahweh.’”

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen, Hananiah! Yahweh has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.Therefore Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth. This year you will die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh.’”So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.

They say continually to those who despise me,‘ Yahweh has said,“ You will have peace;”’ and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say,‘ No evil will come on you.’

Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.

You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls who should not die, and to save the souls alive who should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.’

The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.

But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.

But if that evil servant should say in his heart,‘ My lord is delaying his coming,’and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it, and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,and will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.

For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

A simple man believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways.

That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,“ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says,‘ I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.Within two full years I will bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon.I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon,’ says Yahweh;‘ for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house,even the prophet Jeremiah said,“ Amen! May Yahweh do so. May Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all those who are captives, from Babylon to this place.Nevertheless listen now to this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people:The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, of evil, and of pestilence.The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet happens, then the prophet will be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him.”

Why do you kick at my sacrifice and at my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation, and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?’

who tell the seers,“ Don’t see!” and the prophets,“ Don’t prophesy to us right things. Tell us pleasant things. Prophesy deceits.Get out of the way. Turn away from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”

Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

You simple, understand prudence! You fools, be of an understanding heart!

The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying,“ Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Let your word therefore, please be like one of theirs, and speak good.”Micaiah said,“ As Yahweh lives, I will say what my God says.”When he had come to the king, the king said to him,“ Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” He said,“ Go up, and prosper. Yahweh said,‘ These have no master. Let them each return to his house in peace.’”The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things which must happen soon, which he sent and made known by his angel to his servant, John,

But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
