I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.

弟兄们，我劝你们，要留心那些针对你们所受的教导而制造分裂和绊脚石的人。你们要远离他们。

弟兄們，那些造成分立和絆跌事、背乎你們所學之教訓的人、我勸你們要注意提防他們。你們務要躲避他們；

弟兄們，我勸你們，要留心那些針對你們所受的教導而製造分裂和絆腳石的人。你們要遠離他們。

兄弟乎、我求爾凡啟分爭、置機檻、異乎爾所學之道者、宜慎而避之、

我勸兄弟、慎諸背教、釁隙陷人於罪者、宜避之、

兄弟乎、爾中有人起釁隙、置妨礙、以反爾所學之道、我勸爾慎視慎視或作謹防之、且避之、

務懇我兄弟謹防一般離間人心、引人陷罪、背叛爾向所受之教義者；望避之若浼也。

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

I am warning you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who try to keep you from staying together. They want to trip you up. They teach you things opposite to what you have learned. Stay away from them.

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them,

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.

Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause dissensions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them,

Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.

It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness,he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions,and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.

Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.

As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him,

having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine,

If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that person, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed.Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.

Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in— who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery—

Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler— not even to eat with such a one.

“ Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the one by whom the temptation comes!

for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh.For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh—

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers.What I mean is that each one of you says,“ I follow Paul,” or“ I follow Apollos,” or“ I follow Cephas,” or“ I follow Christ.”Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part,

Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,

But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers,“ Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers.When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them.But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said,“ It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.”

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

And he said to his disciples,“ Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come!
