Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed

I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews. He teaches us that God is true. He shows us that God will keep the promises he made to the founders of our nation.

For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs,

For I say that Christ became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,

For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision in behalf of the truth of God, to confirm the promises given to the fathers,

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given unto the fathers,

For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises[ made] unto the fathers:

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,

Then Jesus said to the woman,“ I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep— the people of Israel.”

He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding“ Yes!” And through Christ, our“ Amen”( which means“ Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant God promised to your ancestors. For God said to Abraham,‘ Through your descendants all the families on earth will be blessed.’When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.”

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law.God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.

I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.

just as he promised through his holy prophets long ago.Now we will be saved from our enemies and from all who hate us.He has been merciful to our ancestors by remembering his sacred covenant—the covenant he swore with an oath to our ancestor Abraham.

Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared,“ It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles.

So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe.

They are the people of Israel, chosen to be God’s adopted children. God revealed his glory to them. He made covenants with them and gave them his law. He gave them the privilege of worshiping him and receiving his wonderful promises.Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are their ancestors, and Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.

The Lord has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation!He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.

He has helped his servant Israel and remembered to be merciful.For he made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever.”Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.

He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory.And we are among those whom he selected, both from the Jews and from the Gentiles.

In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One! But my heart is heavy with grief. Weep for me, for I wither away. Deceit still prevails, and treachery is everywhere.

I am a special messenger from Christ Jesus to you Gentiles. I bring you the Good News so that I might present you as an acceptable offering to God, made holy by the Holy Spirit.

True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful?

In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups.Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near.Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles...assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles.As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me.As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.“ Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”

Once, you Gentiles were rebels against God, but when the people of Israel rebelled against him, God was merciful to you instead.

for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.

Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.

It might not be a matter of conscience for you, but it is for the other person.) For why should my freedom be limited by what someone else thinks?

What am I trying to say? Am I saying that food offered to idols has some significance, or that idols are real gods?

Some of you are saying,“ I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying,“ I follow Apollos,” or“ I follow Peter,” or“ I follow only Christ.”
