我曰、耶穌基督為天主之真、為受割禮者之役、欲應天主所許列祖之言、

吾謂基督之成為受割禮者之僕役、所以實踐天主所許於列祖之恩諾、而彰天主之至誠也。

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed

I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews. He teaches us that God is true. He shows us that God will keep the promises he made to the founders of our nation.

For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs,

Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.

For I say that Christ became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,

For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given unto the fathers,

For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises[ made] unto the fathers:

You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began,That we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:

Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said,“ It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises;of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

You will give truth to Jacob And mercy to Abraham, Which You have sworn to our fathers From days of old.

The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy,As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.”And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her house.

and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Therefore glorify the Lord in the dawning light, The name of the Lord God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea.From the ends of the earth we have heard songs:“ Glory to the righteous!” But I said,“ I am ruined, ruined! Woe to me! The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously, Indeed, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.”

that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you,how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery( as I have briefly written already,by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ),which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience,

to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

“ Conscience,” I say, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty judged by another man’s conscience?

What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything?

Now I say this, that each of you says,“ I am of Paul,” or“ I am of Apollos,” or“ I am of Cephas,” or“ I am of Christ.”
