For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed

I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews. He teaches us that God is true. He shows us that God will keep the promises he made to the founders of our nation.

For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs,

Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises[ made] unto the fathers:

but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and they shall become one flock, one shepherd.

( As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old),Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father,

And Paul and Barnabas spake out boldly, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you. Seeing ye thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the lovingkindness to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

Jehovah hath made known his salvation: His righteousness hath he openly showed in the sight of the nations.He hath remembered his lovingkindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

He hath given help to Israel his servant, That he might remember mercy( As he spake unto our fathers) Toward Abraham and his seed for ever.And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned unto her house.

and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory,even us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?

Wherefore glorify ye Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs: Glory to the righteous. But I said, I pine away, I pine away, woe is me! the treacherous have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.

that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make of none effect the faithfulness of God?

that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace;and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh:for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow- citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—if so be that ye have heard of the dispensation of that grace of God which was given me to you- ward;how that by revelation was made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words,whereby, when ye read, ye can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ;which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;to wit, that the Gentiles are fellow- heirs, and fellow- members of the body, and fellow- partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

For as ye in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,

for the showing, I say, of his righteousness at this present season: that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that hath faith in Jesus.

Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God’s goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

conscience, I say, not thine own, but the other’s; for why is my liberty judged by another conscience?

What say I then? that a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?

Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
