so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.

Then I will come to you with joy just as God has planned. We will be renewed by being together.

so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other.

and that, by God’s will, I may come to you with joy and be refreshed together with you.

that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel,so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the praetorian guard and to everyone else,and that most of the brothers and sisters, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.

But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I shall find out, not the words of those who are arrogant, but their power.

Instead, you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

And from there the brothers and sisters, when they heard about us, came as far as the Market of Appius and the Three Inns to meet us; and when Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.When we entered Rome, Paul was allowed to stay by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him.

But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always think kindly of us, longing to see us just as we also long to see you,for this reason, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith;for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord.For what thanks can we give to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God,as we keep praying most earnestly night and day that we may see your faces, and may complete what is lacking in your faith?

always in my prayers requesting if perhaps now, at last by the will of God, I will succeed in coming to you.For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established;that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that often I have planned to come to you( and have been prevented so far) so that I may obtain some fruit among you also just as among the rest of the Gentiles.

Now Paul stayed two full years in his own rented lodging and welcomed all who came to him,preaching the kingdom of God and teaching things about the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, unhindered.

Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

but now, with no further place for me in these regions, and since I have had for many years a longing to come to youwhenever I go to Spain— for I hope to see you in passing, and to be helped on my way there by you, when I have first enjoyed your company for a while—
