Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the Lord’s people there.

Now after these things were finished, Paul resolved in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem after he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, saying,“ After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

Now after several years I came to bring charitable gifts to my nation and to present offerings,

And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so that he would not have to lose time in Asia; for he was hurrying, if it might be possible for him to be in Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

They only asked us to remember the poor— the very thing I also was eager to do.

but took leave of them and said,“ I will return to you again if God wills,” and he set sail from Ephesus.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you are to do as well.On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside and save as he may prosper, so that no collections need to be made when I come.When I arrive, whomever you approve, I will send them with letters to take your gift to Jerusalem;

For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.For they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to do them a service also in material things.Therefore, when I have finished this, and have put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I will go on by way of you to Spain.I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;
