且我務傳福音、不在基督已被稱之處、免建於他人基上、

吾之傳道、特選未聞基督聖名之各地、以免建築於他人之基上。

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.

I have always wanted to preach the good news where Christ was not known. I don’t want to build on what someone else has started.

and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation,

Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation,

yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

我们不愿意过分夸口，但是我们只在上帝划定的界限内夸口。这界限甚至扩展到你们那里。我们扩展到你们那里时并没有越过了自己的界限，其实我们是首先到你们那里传基督福音的。我们不靠别人所劳碌的过分夸口；我们只希望你们信心增长的时候，所划定给我们的范围也能够因着你们更加扩展，使福音得以传到你们以外的地方，而不在别人的范围之内，以别人所成就的事夸口。

被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，而基督耶稣自己为房角石，靠着他整座房子连接得紧凑，渐渐成为在主里的圣殿。你们也靠他同被建造，成为上帝藉着圣灵居住的所在。

因为我们是上帝的同工，而你们是上帝的田地、上帝的房屋。我照上帝所给我的恩典，好像一个聪明的工头，立好了根基，别人在上面建造；只是各人要谨慎怎样在上面建造。因为，那已经立好的根基就是耶稣基督，此外没有人能立别的根基。若有人用金银、宝石，草木、禾秸，在这根基上建造，各人的工程必将显露，因为那日子要将它显明，有火把它暴露出来，这火要试炼各人的工程怎样。人在那根基上所建造的工程若能保得住，他将要得赏赐。人的工程若被烧了，他将损失，虽然他自己将得救，却要像从火里经过一样。
