這樣，我立了志向，不在基督的名已經傳揚過的地方傳福音，免得建造在別人的根基上；

這樣，我立定心志要在基督的名沒有被傳過的地方傳福音，免得建造在別人的根基上，

我務宣福音、不在已宣基督之處、免建於他人之基、

我已甚慕傳福音、不在耶穌被稱之處、恐建於他人基上、

且我務傳福音、不在基督已被稱之處、免建於他人基上、

吾之傳道、特選未聞基督聖名之各地、以免建築於他人之基上。

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.

I have always wanted to preach the good news where Christ was not known. I don’t want to build on what someone else has started.

and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation,

My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else.

My aim is to preach the gospel where Christ has not been named, so that I will not build on someone else’s foundation,

And in this way I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already known by name, so that I would not build on another person’s foundation;

And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,

yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man’s foundation;

My aim is to evangelize where Christ has not been named, so that I will not build on someone else’s foundation,

Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation,

yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

我們不願意過分誇口，但是我們只在神劃定的界限內誇口。這界限甚至擴展到你們那裏。我們擴展到你們那裏時並沒有越過了自己的界限，其實我們是首先到你們那裏傳基督福音的。我們不靠別人所勞碌的過分誇口；我們只希望你們信心增長的時候，所劃定給我們的範圍也能夠因着你們更加擴展，使福音得以傳到你們以外的地方，而不在別人的範圍之內，以別人所成就的事誇口。

被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，而基督耶穌自己為房角石，靠着他整座房子連接得緊湊，漸漸成為在主裏的聖殿。你們也靠他同被建造，成為神藉着聖靈居住的所在。

因為我們是神的同工，而你們是神的田地、神的房屋。我照神所給我的恩典，好像一個聰明的工頭，立好了根基，別人在上面建造；只是各人要謹慎怎樣在上面建造。因為，那已經立好的根基就是耶穌基督，此外沒有人能立別的根基。若有人用金銀、寶石，草木、禾稭，在這根基上建造，各人的工程必將顯露，因為那日子要將它顯明，有火把它暴露出來，這火要試煉各人的工程怎樣。人在那根基上所建造的工程若能保得住，他將要得賞賜。人的工程若被燒了，他將損失，雖然他自己將得救，卻要像從火裏經過一樣。
