我立志只去从未听过基督之名的地方传福音，免得我建造在别人的根基上。

且我務傳福音、不在基督已被稱之處、免建於他人基上、

吾之傳道、特選未聞基督聖名之各地、以免建築於他人之基上。

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.

I have always wanted to preach the good news where Christ was not known. I don’t want to build on what someone else has started.

and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation,

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation,

yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

但我们并非漫无边际地夸口，而是在上帝为我们定下的范围之内夸口，你们也包括在这范围之内。其实把你们包括在我们夸口的范围之内一点都不过分，因为我们曾把基督的福音传到你们那里。我们没有超出范围拿别人辛劳的成果夸口，只盼望随着你们信心的增长，我们的范围也得到极大的扩展，使我们可以把福音传到你们以外的地方，而不是在别人的工作范围内拿别人的成就夸口。

你们已被建立在众使徒和先知们的基础上，基督耶稣自己是房角石。整座建筑的各部分都靠祂巧妙地连接在一起，逐渐成为主的圣殿。你们也靠着祂被建造在一起，成为上帝借着圣灵居住的地方。

因为我们是上帝的同工，你们是上帝的园地和建筑。我照着上帝赐给我的恩典，好像一位有智慧的建筑师打稳了根基，然后让其他的工人在上面建造。但每个人建造的时候要小心，因为除了那已经奠定的根基——耶稣基督以外，没有人能另立根基。人们用金、银、宝石、草、木或禾秸在这根基上建造，每个人的工程将来都会显明出来，因为到了审判的日子，必用火试验各人工程的品质。人在这根基上所建造的工程若经得起考验，他必获得奖赏。人的工程若被烧毁了，他必遭受损失，自己虽然可以得救，却像火里逃生一样。
