They were convinced by the power of miraculous signs and wonders and by the power of God’s Spirit. In this way, I have fully presented the Good News of Christ from Jerusalem all the way to Illyricum.

by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

He has given me power to do signs and wonders. I can do these things by the power of the Spirit of God. From Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum I have finished preaching. In those places, I preached the good news about Christ.

by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God— so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ;

When I was with you, I certainly gave you proof that I am an apostle. For I patiently did many signs and wonders and miracles among you.

And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.

I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles.When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled.

Everyone listened quietly as Barnabas and Paul told about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.

But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death.

“ After I returned to Jerusalem, I was praying in the Temple and fell into a trance.I saw a vision of Jesus saying to me,‘ Hurry! Leave Jerusalem, for the people here won’t accept your testimony about me.’“‘ But Lord,’ I argued,‘ they certainly know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you.And I was in complete agreement when your witness Stephen was killed. I stood by and kept the coats they took off when they stoned him.’“ But the Lord said to me,‘ Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”

I am planning to go to Spain, and when I do, I will stop off in Rome. And after I have enjoyed your fellowship for a little while, you can provide for my journey.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.

They preached the word in Perga, then went down to Attalia.

After the Passover ended, we boarded a ship at Philippi in Macedonia and five days later joined them in Troas, where we stayed a week.

While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior regions until he reached Ephesus, on the coast, where he found several believers.

So Saul stayed with the apostles and went all around Jerusalem with them, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.He debated with some Greek speaking Jews, but they tried to murder him.

Then Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.

They were told that their messages were not for themselves, but for you. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen.

Jesus asked,“ Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”

But as the believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

But Paul and Barnabas traveled inland to Antioch of Pisidia. On the Sabbath they went to the synagogue for the services.

I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes.

They stopped first at the port of Ephesus, where Paul left the others behind. While he was there, he went to the synagogue to reason with the Jews.

God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you.

So they shook the dust from their feet as a sign of rejection and went to the town of Iconium.

So Barnabas and Saul were sent out by the Holy Spirit. They went down to the seaport of Seleucia and then sailed for the island of Cyprus.There, in the town of Salamis, they went to the Jewish synagogues and preached the word of God. John Mark went with them as their assistant.

Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time.Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there.So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas.That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him,“ Come over to Macedonia and help us!”So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there.We boarded a boat at Troas and sailed straight across to the island of Samothrace, and the next day we landed at Neapolis.From there we reached Philippi, a major city of that district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. And we stayed there several days.

This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her,“ I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.

When the apostles learned of it, they fled to the region of Lycaonia— to the towns of Lystra and Derbe and the surrounding area.

Those escorting Paul went with him all the way to Athens; then they returned to Berea with instructions for Silas and Timothy to hurry and join him.

That very night the believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. When they arrived there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.

So Paul called to him in a loud voice,“ Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.

For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike.So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News.For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes— the Jew first and also the Gentile.

When the uproar was over, Paul sent for the believers and encouraged them. Then he said good bye and left for Macedonia.While there, he encouraged the believers in all the towns he passed through. Then he traveled down to Greece,
